With a sharp eye for architecting experiences and engaging tastemakers from all walks of life, she generates bold ideas and fuels compelling storytelling with a hands on approach toward brand authenticity. For over 15 years Vanessa has cultivated robust relationships within the apparel, beauty, action sports, wellness, music & lifestyle space.
As Head of Marketing for RAW Creative, Vanessa integrates 360° campaigns by customizing brand messaging through sponsorships, project management and media outreach. She has collaborated with brands and talent to include: Bai 5, Barneys, Burton, Live Nation, Miss Wax, Miranda Maxwell, Naomi Yasuda, Nickodemus, Universal Records, Interscope, Red Bull and has teamed up with sought after venues like Dream Hotel, Louie & Chan, Time Hotel and Vandal. Vanessa is an advisor for TomBoy Feels, a women’s cut and sew streetwear brand and urban creative collective consisting of DJ’s, artists, athletes and media professionals based around the globe. In addition, Vanessa is a contributing writer and ambassador for Sassy Healthy Fit, a women’s digital wellness portal. Vanessa was also a Senior Advisor for Clif Bar + Luna Bar brands. She developed their experiential footprint, by further building the company’s engagement through a series of grassroots initiatives.
Previously the Director, Brand & Retail Marketing for RARE Studio, originally founded by Global Pureology Director & Master Stylist Ruth Roche, Vanessa established relationships with luxury stakeholders such as American Salon, NY Mag, Oribe, Pureology and Redken. This role allowed her the opportunity to reinforce team passions through bench strength initiatives and improve social strategies resulting in increased sales and customer awareness.
As the Manager, Retail Marketing & Social Media for Special Sauce, a pioneer New York based skateboard and lifestyle boutique, Vanessa focused on building a network of likeminded partnerships. She worked in tandem with over 120 premium streetwear brands including Altamont, Burton, Hellz, Miss Wax, Nike SB, Nikita, Nixon, Oakley, RVCA, Roxy, Stussy and Vans as well as notable street artists, music talent, dance community and sneaker influencers around the globe.
Vanessa’s professional background includes having worked over 6 years with Viacom Networks within the Music & Media (Business & Legal) division maintaining a $40 million budget, where she oversaw contract approvals for groundbreaking original programming like “100 Greatest” series, “Behind The Music”, “VH1 Storytellers” and “Vogue Fashion Awards”. With a keen focus on reinforcing client satisfaction, Vanessa believes growth and development is measured by a healthy dose of transparency and the desire to supersede personal expectations.
